1. Volcano boarding
You better have extremely tough safety boots for this extreme sport. What is it? Well, as the name suggest, Volcano boarding is an extreme sport which involves racing down an active volcano of 2,300 feet on a board. Many travelers travel to Nicaragua to board down the slopes of their volcano. A definite in dangerous extreme sports and appeals to many around the world.
2. Crocodile bungee
If the traditional bungee jumping method is not exciting enough for you, than how about mixing it up a little and bungeeing it into a gorge with water underneath it that contains live and hungry crocodiles. This extreme sport was first introduced in Australia.
3. Cliff diving
Although this extreme sport has become the more official of the lot, but it is still one that is very dangerous. It has added an entire new concept to diving and there are annual diving competitions around the world. It involves strategically diving off an extremely high cliff into the sea below. If the diver is not specially trained, it can be very dangerous. Only professionals are allowed to participate in this sport. Cliff diving, among the most extreme sports around was originated in Hawaii in 1770 when a king demanded men to jump from the cliffs into the sea without making a slash to show their courage and bravery.
4. Underwater hockey
Many hockey players enjoy playing underwater hockey during the colder months. It may not be the most extreme sport but takes a lot of stamina and the ability to hold your breath for long periods of time. There is also the possibility of getting whopped continuously with the hockey stick. The sport was first created in the UK by divers who wanted to stay fit during the winter months.
5. Zorbing Ball
This is one of the latest extreme sports to sweep the world and involves throwing yourself and then rolling yourself down an extremely steep slope in a large inflatable ball. This extreme sports adventure was originated in New Zealand in 2000 and the inflatable ball in which the person is located has two layers of cushioning so that the person does not touch the ground.
