Asian Games 2018: IOA appoints Brijbhushan Sharan Singh as India's Chef de Mission

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Friday announced the Chef de Mission (CDM) for the upcoming 18th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018 to be held from 18th August - 2nd September 2018. Mr Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been appointed the Chef de Mission for the Games.

Along with the CDM, four Deputy Chef de Missions have also been appointed to lead the contingent’s participation in the 2018 edition. The names of the four Deputy Chef de Missions are as follows:

1. Mr Raj Kumar Sacheti

2. Col. Satyavrat Sheoran

3. Mr Balbir Singh Kushwaha

4. Mr Dev Kumar Singh

Congratulating the CDM and Dy. CDMs, Mr Rajeev Mehta, Secretary-General, said, “I would like to congratulate the Chef de Mission and the Dy. Chef de Missions on their appointment for the 18th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018. I’m sure their able guidance and leadership will ensure good management of the contingent in Indonesia during the Games. Our good wishes to the entire Indian contingent for the event.”
