Bangladesh win three golds at Special Olympics

Los Angeles, July 30 Bangladesh claimed three gold medals on Thursday at the Special Olympics Summer World Games here. The medals came in the events of table tennis, badminton and athletics.

Shuttler Rezwanul Haque clinched the yellow metal in the men's singles event in badminton. On the other hand, athlete Sumon Khan won the gold in men's shot put (4 kg) and paddler Mohammad Nayemur Rahman bagged it in the men's single table tennis tournament.

Besides the trio, Khushi Khatun won the silver in 50-metre backstroke swimming and also pocketed the bronze medal in the women's 50-metre freestyle. Bibi Fatema grabbed Bangladesh’s final medal, a bronze, in shotput (3kg category).
