If you were expecting it to be a football festival then you were not alike all of those living all over the world who watch football in awe of these two teams. Portugal equaled out Brazil in the second half after Brazil created chances in the first half in spite of some scrappy football. Ultimately, it was both team canceling out each other, and canceling each other’s halves.

The match had two really good chances and both belonged to Brazil. Portugal created good chances but did not have a definitive shot on goal that can equate their performance to the Samba boys. However, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who would be the man of the match for his well timed runs that infused a confidence in Portugal in the second half.
The first half was full of bad tackles and yellow cards. A total of seven yellow cards were shown in this match including one to Luis Fabiano. Fabiano had a frustrating match as he lost a great chance when Eduardo tapped his shot on to the post and out from close range.
Brazil had great possession throughout the match. At one stage it was 61-39, but the bad part was that for such possession the chances they created were few and far between. Coach Dunga on the bench looked frustrated but his players on the field looked content with a draw. Brazil lacked composure at times when Danny Alves shot from outrageous ranges squandering possession.
It was a match that mattered to the outcome of the group as Ivory Coast were playing North Korea meanwhile. However, with Portugal coming off a 7-0 win in the last game and Brazil already through to the last 16 the group was more than settled. Ivory Coast had a mountain of 9 goals to be climbed had they had to overhaul the Portuguese.
The result here a 0-0 draw, means that Brazil top the group with 7 points and Portugal go second with 5 points. Portugal have not yet conceded in the World which is a good sign for their world cup health considering they might have to face Spain in the next round.
