With a lead of only 1 point, round number 4 began and the Indians held their nerve with a two point lead and 3 arrows to fire.

In the shoot off, which reminded of the World Cup 2011 Inda-Japan match, the Indians couldn’t get their revenge as Japan’s 10,10,9 score was matched with a 9,9,9 by India.

India went out of men’s archery recurve event and missed a chance to progress by a whisker.
