Kyrgiakos Leaves for Wolfsburg

Now here’s a small bit of a surprise. I haven’t heard of any rumours linking Kyrgiakos away from Liverpool FC, but it seems that our Greek “Andy Carroll lookalike” is leaving for the Bundesliga.

This has been confirmed on the official Liverpool FC website this afternoon. I would think that he has left on a free transfer, given that the website doesn’t mention the fee. Sotirios Kyrgiakos has managed 3 goals in 49 appearances for the Reds, and I wish him all the best in his time at Wolfsburg.

He is set to partner a former Liverpool target, Simon Kjaer at the back for the German outfit. For your info, here’s how Kjaer looks like.
