Nike has unveiled a new version of its classic Nike Air Flight Huarache silhouette called "Nike Gear" in a Sail/Midnight Navy-Coral Chalk-Laser Blue-Speed Yellow-Coconut Milk color palette.
The shoes will be available for sale in the summer of 2023 through Nike, the SNKRS app, and a few select online and physical retailers.
The design was originally developed for foot races and has become a favorite among collectors and sneaker lovers.
The shoe's designer, Tinker Hatfield, focused on creating a light, basic appearance that highlights the technology.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache was one of the most popular basketball styles of the early 1990s.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache received mixed responses after its 1991 debut due to its distinctive shape, which was stylistically different from other Nike footwear at the time.
The "Nike Gear" version of the shoes has a retro vibe with accent hues that embrace the Nike ACG aesthetic.
The shoes feature a leather top, blue and pink Neoprene inside bootie, navy blue plastic heel cage and ankle collar, "Nike Gear" and custom printed insoles.
In addition to the "Nike Gear" version, the "OG" Kobe Bryant's "Lakers Away" PE colorways will also be released in summer 2023.
