According to Billboard, Taylor Swift's Eras tour is expected to generate $591 million in ticket sales, with Ticketmaster charging a fee of $12.9 million.
It has been reported that Taylor Swift will earn over $600 million from ticket sales for her US tour alone, making her the first person whose main source of income is music to reach this level of financial success.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Swift's Eras tour, which will mark her return to touring after a hiatus following her Reputation tour in 2018.
Forbes made its projection of the singer's earnings based on a statement from Herlihy, which indicated that Swift is likely to earn between 100% and 110% of the $591 million in ticket sales for the tour.
According to Forbes' report, Swift is expected to make $620 million, or 105% of the ticket revenue.
Billboard predicts that Swift will sell the remaining 170,000 tickets for her tour by the end of 2022, with an average ticket price of $215.
Earlier this year, Ticketmaster faced criticism due to its inability to handle the high demand for tickets to Swift's tour.
The high demand for presale tickets caused over 3.5 million people to try to register on the website, resulting in the site crashing.
