Paris 2024 Olympics India Day 14 Schedule: Full list of events, venues, & timings in IST, August 9

The 14th day of the Paris 2024 Olympics will get underway shortly. A majority of the Indian athletes have ended their campaigns. Last night in Paris, javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to win a silver medal at the ongoing edition of the mega event.

With Neeraj's silver and hockey team's bronze, India's medal tally now stands at five. Another medal could be added to the total tonight if Aman Sehrawat beats Darian Cruz in the bronze medal match of men's wrestling 57 kg.

Aman looked quite impressive yesterday. He beat Vladimir Egorov by 10-0 in the Round of 16, followed by a 12-0 win against Zelimkhan Abakarov in the quarterfinals. However, in the semifinals, Japan's Rei Higuchi squashed him by 10-0.

Since Aman lost in the semifinal, he received a direct entry to the bronze medal match, which will happen tonight at 11.10 pm IST. Apart from wrestling, Indian fans will also hope for positive results in athletics. India's men's and women's 4x400m relay teams will be in action today. The golf tournament will continue as well.

Women's individual stroke play - 12.30 pm IST onwards.

Athletics

Women's 4x400m relay heats - Heat 2, 2.10 pm IST onwards.

Men's 4x400m relay heats - Heat 2, 2.35 pm IST onwards.

Wrestling

Men's freestyle 57 kg bronze medal match - Aman Sehrawat vs Darian Cruz.

India won seven medals in the Tokyo Olympics three years ago. This year, India have five medals to their name so far. It will be interesting to see if India can match their previous tally by winning two medals in the remainder of the Paris 2024 Olympics sports events.
