Gwangju 2019, Budapest 2021 to host swimming worlds

Barcelona, July 20 (IANS): South Korean city of Gwangju will host the World Swimming Championships in 2019 while the capital of Hungary, Budapest, will host the biennial event in 2021.

International swimming federation (FINA) president Julio C. Maglione announced the decision at the inauguration of the World Championships here Friday adding that the presentations from Hungary and South Korea were very good, reports Xinhua.

This years championship is taking place at the Palau Saint Jordi. A total of 2,293 athletes from 181 countries and regions will participate in the tourney that will end Aug 4.
