Urban rage often tends to occur in the most unlikeliest of situations, one such incident took place in Delhi, where a national level Taekwondo player was stabbed over a plate of momos.

Arun was allegedly attacked by the restaraunt’s owner, after refusing to pay the entire amount. According to the Delhi Police, the owner broke a bottle on Arun’s head, then went onto slit his throat and disposed the body, behind a garbage dump in Rohini.

A mutual friend named Ranjit, helped the eatery owner, smash Arun’s head with a stone, in fear of identification. The case came to light three days after the incident took place. Arun’s parernts went to look for him, prior to registering a police complaint.

A police officer, who was first on the scene said, “Arun left home three days ago with Ranjit, but never returned. His parents presumed that he went for a night stay, without informing them. However, when they saw his phone was off, they registered a case.”

Arun’s father, Santram said, “He was a great Taekwondo players, he represented the state at the junior level several times. He was aiming to become one of the best, we were completely supporting him that. His Coaches also said that he was improving a lot. He won a lot of junior medals as well.”

The restraunt owner is still absconding, but Ranjit is already in custody. The victim’s body was found on Friday, when a passerby noticed the body. CCTV footage and recorded statements could have also been garnered by the Police.
