Nepal bags one silver and one bronze at the Taekwondo Championships in South Korea

Nepali players won one silver and one bronze medal at the 13th International Sports for All Taekwondo Championship held at Jeju, South Korea.

Rabin Adhikari won silver medal. Adhikari beat participants from Spain, Malaysia and China to reach the final, but lost to South Korean player 10 – 7 in the final to earn the silver medal in the men’s 56 kg category.

Tara Parajuli won bronze in the 46 kg women’s category. Parajuli beat players from Malaysia and USA to reach the semifinals before losing to a player from South Korea 5 – 7 and bagged the Bronze Medal in the process.

Nepal had sent three players to participate in the tournament. The third participant Krishna Shrestha lost to a South Korean player in the men’s 60 kg category.
