United States have consistently churned out world class goal keepers over the years.It is quite difficult a nab a starting position at the Leagues best teams and that might just be the reason there are quite a few talents in the goalkeeping position in the MLS. He has been criticized for giving away goals, but that may be due to the fact that team in front of him is not the best.

The Jamaican, Donovan Ricketts is one of the most important players for Portland Timbers. He is the captain of the Jamaican football team and has also been named as the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year twice (2010 and 2013).

At 6’4” he is a colossus in front of goal and has a big athletic frameset. He is fearless in front of goal and produces saves that are instrumental in keeping the Timbers in the hunt for playoffs.
