Britt Westbourne was the daughter of the known villain Dr. Liesl Obrecht on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. The character first appeared in the show in 2012, played by Kelly Thiebaud, who left the show in 2023.

General Hospital: Britt died because of venom
Britt Westbourne died in the series because of the venom that The Hook spread in her body while she was trying to save Jossyln. Britt saw The Hook following Jossyln at the docks and tried her best to save her.
Amidst the confrontation between Britt and The Hook, he scratched her all over, and by the time Britt reached the Haunted Star, the venom from his scratches had spread in her body, which ultimately led to her death.
When Britt reached the Haunted Star, her mother, Liesl Obrecht, was cleaning up after her birthday party. Liesl thought Britt was drunk and offered her a toast. The mother and daughter shared an emotional moment when Liesl admitted she wasn’t a good mother. She said she didn’t love Britt and her late brother Nathan like a mother should love and care about her children.
By the time Liesl noticed something was wrong with Britt, it was already very late. Liesl tried talking Britt to the hospital to inject an antidote, but Britt refused to go anywhere as she knew that she did not have much time left.
While lying on the ground, Britt asked Liesl to hold her, just like the way she wanted to hold Nathan when he died. Liesl held Britt and explained how she loved her with the fear of losing Britt, which was clearly visible on her face.
“My precious girl. I love you, sweetheart. Mama loves you,” said Liesl.
The last scene of Britt shows her dead in the hospital morgue with Liesl Obrecht by her side. The scene acted as a final goodbye to Britt, as only her mother, Liesl, was with her in her last times. The scene showed that even with the rough past the mother and the daughter shared, they had been with each other until the end.
Britt is now dead on General Hospital, but fans still love Kelly Thiebaud and have expressed on social media that they would love to see Britt return to General Hospital.
