Michael E Knight returned to the General Hospital storyline on June 10, 2025, as his character, Martin, visited his sister, Mayor Laura. The actor has been moving in and out of the soap as per the demands of his arc. His last appearance on the show was in March this year. Besides GH, Knight is also known for his roles in other television shows such as The Young and the Restless and All My Children.
Michael Knight joined General Hospital in 2019 as Martin, an attorney representing Drew Cain and other questionable clients. Martin's siblings are the town's mayor, Laura Collins, and the deceased villain, Cyrus Renault.

A brief look at General Hospital actor, Michael E Knight
Born in New Jersey, Michael E Knight was educated in California and at Wesleyan University, Connecticut. His notable acting career started in 1982 with his role as Tad Martin in All My Children. He played his character as a regular cast till the show's finale in 2011 and again in 2013's online release.
He was also seen as Dr. Simon Neville on The Young and the Restless, and as Tad Martin on One Life to Live. Some of the other projects featuring Knight include Date with an Angel, Hexed, A Different Kind of Christmas, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS and many more.

What did Martin's recent story arc involve on General Hospital?
While moving in and out of Port Charles for years, Martin Grey has represented every questionable character in town. That includes Franco Baldwin and Valentin Cassadine to Nelle Benson and Drew Caine. He is mentioned to have had multiple marriages ending in divorce. His affair with Lucy Coe ended badly, and he left town in February 2024.
He returned in September 2024 to represent Alexis, accused of murder. In the episodes that aired during January 2025, he was involved in a friction with Tracy as the two sparred over various matters. That primarily involved Michael's children staying in the Quartermaine mansion while Michael was in the hospital, and Willow planned to move in with Drew.
At the time, the attorney was acting on behalf of Willow. He even managed to get Tracy arrested. However, Tracy seemed to move his ex-wives off-screen, and Martin was arrested for non-payment of alimony. The show introduced Blair Cramer as one of his malevolent ex-wives.
General Hospital: Why did Martin return?
On Tuesday's episode, dated June 10, 2025, Martin met his half-sister and declared himself broke. He asked for a place to crash, and Laura offered a room at her place. He then informed that he served prison for an evening while his wives collaborated to take away all his money.
Martin promised to make a financial recovery soon. However, he wanted to take revenge on Tracy for landing him in this situation. But Laura forbade him from bothering Tracy since a lot was happening at the Q-mansion. She also warned him against doing anything illegal. The attorney assured his sister that all his actions would be on the right side of the law.
