Divine Bourrage, a five-star recruit committed to LSU, recently expressed her confidence in the Tigers' prospects for the upcoming season. This Friday, she shared an Instagram story featuring her photo alongside the caption,
"LSU, SEC Top Challenger."

Standing six feet tall, Bourrage is a versatile combo guard from Davenport North High School in Iowa. Bourrage's commitment to LSU adds significant strength to the Tigers' roster. She joins other top recruits, including the No. 12 overall prospect in the class of 2025, ZaKiyah Johnson, and No. 11 nationally ranked Grace Knox, in what is considered a formidable recruiting class.
LSU is part of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), which is renowned for its competitive women's basketball programs. Teams like South Carolina have dominated in recent years, winning eight of the last 11 regular-season championships.
However, with LSU's recent national championship victory in 2023 and the addition of talent from recruits like Bourrage, the Tigers are poised to challenge for the top spot in the SEC.

Can Divine Bourrage be LSU’s answer to SEC dominance?
Bourrage is dominating high school basketball with her stellar performances, one game after another. This season, she has averaged 22 points, nine rebounds, and three steals per game.
Basketball analyst and OWU Insights & Analytics Founder Economist Derrick Beechum noted her offensive growth and described the shooting guard.
"Committed to LSU, Divine (Bourrage) embodies the modern combo guard with her ability to score at all three levels, create for teammates, and anchor a defense," Beechum said.
Coach Kim Mulkey considers her the best fit for LSU. Sharing her thoughts on the youngster in a YouTube video posted by WQAD News 8, Mulkey acknowledged her versatile gameplay and her ability to dominate both offense and defense.
"The position she plays was the first thing; we need a perimeter player," Mulkey said. (1:02)
"She can handle the point guard position; she can play the off-guard. I'm just going to enjoy that she's going to be an LSU Tiger,” she added.
While Bourrage shines with her standout performances, Davenport North suffered a stinging defeat of 63-38 against Johnston last Saturday. It's their third defeat this season, and they are now 5-3. Divine Bourrage will be up against Pleasant Valley on Wednesday, and Davenport North can expect another explosive performance from its star shooting guard.
