Kaleena Smith showed why she is the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2027 after her stellar performance at the Army National Guard Next Up 5s in Atlanta on Friday. The 5-foot-5 point guard led Team JuJu to the win against Team Flau'jae by recording a double-double with 40 points.
Some of her highlights were uploaded by basketball page Overtime Select on Instagram. The Class of 2027 recruit won the MVP Award in the game, after displaying some tremendous shots from mid-range, in the paint, and from beyond the three-point line.
Kaleena Smith became the first high school athlete to sign a deal with sports giant Adidas in 2024. The Instagram page of Adidas Basketball also posted a three-word comment under the post.
"really is HER," the comment read.

USC star JuJu Watkins replaced the Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers as the head coach in the event. Bueckers, who was in charge of the team when she played for the UConn Huskies last season, also defeated LSU Tigers' Flau'jae Johnson.
Smith, who signed the deal on Nov. 14 last year, talked about her game.
“I embrace any opportunity to challenge myself and improve my game, and I believe that’s what has fostered the confidence and skill I have on the court,” Smith said.
She also talked about the impact of the three-time WNBA Champion and President of Adidas Women's Basketball, Candace Parker.
“I’m blessed to be part of something Candace is creating, and to get to do that with a brand like Adidas who is taking a different approach to play a role to help grow the game for players like me. Plus, I’m really excited to get to rock the Harden sneakers this season.”
