Four-star safety Anquon Fegans committed to Auburn over Georgia, Alabama and LSU back in July, however, LSU hasn’t given up on their pursuit. This weekend, he will be returning to Baton Rouge to watch the No. 14 Tigers take on No. 11 Alabama at Tiger Stadium.

LSU is now 6-2 after a tough loss to Texas A&M (38-23) on Oct. 26 and has its sights set on leveling the recent head-to-head record with Alabama, with which they have gone 1-2 in the last three matchups. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 34-0 victory over Missouri on Oct. 26 and also holds a 6-2 record.

A win in Saturday's game could boost LSU’s appeal in Fegans’ eyes as Brian Kelly and his coaching staff are heavily trying to flip his commitment from Auburn.

Meanwhile, Anquon Fegans' recruitment journey has already seen some twists, as he initially committed to USC before decommitting and eventually pledging to Auburn. Despite this, LSU remains a strong contender, with a unique draw that Fegans’ father described as “a different vibe” (via On3). His last game-day visit to LSU for the Tigers’ Oct. 12 overtime victory against Ole Miss (29-26).

Auburn’s current 3-6 record contrasts sharply with LSU’s success, and family ties add an extra complexity, as his brother, Antwon Fegans Jr., transferred to Auburn this spring. The Tigers' continuous push and a potential win over Alabama could add fuel to Fegans’ interest in the Tigers.

According to Rivals, Anquon Fegans is the nation's No. 67 prospect, the No. 6 safety in the 2025 class and the No. 3 recruit in Alabama.

LSU and Auburn's 2025 recruitment class updates amid Anquon Fegans rumors

LSU 2025 class ranks No. 4 in the nation and No. 3 in the Southeastern Conference with 27 committed players. The class has three five-star prospects: safety Harlem Berry, cornerback DJ Pickett and quarterback Bryce Underwood, who is rumored to be flipping to Michigan.

Meanwhile, Auburn's 2025 class started to gain momentum following the flip of four-star quarterback Deuce Knight from Notre Dame to the Tigers last month. The cycle now ranks No. 6 in the nation and No. 5 in the SEC with 27 committed players. It also features five-star prospects like edge rusher Jared Smith, defensive lineman Malik Autry and cornerback Blake Woodby.
