Both Cayden and Cameron Boozer were one of the top prospects in the Class of 2025. The sons of former Chicago Bulls player Carlos Boozer made their commitment to Duke on Oct. 10, following in their father's footsteps.
The famous Instagram page SportsCenter NEXT posted some highlights of the twins, comparing them with their father, calling them generational talents:
"Are the Boozer Twins one of the greatest sporting twins right now. Cameron and Kaden boozer are committed to do click their pops, two time NBA All Star Carlos Boozer," stated an excerpt from the commentary.
With this, hoops fans took their reactions to the comments section as they were not happy with the use of the word "generational," in the caption:
"Darryn Peterson cooked these dudes," commented a fan.
"there’s that generational word again," another fan was not happy with the analyst using the word generational.
Another fan commented, "Generational is the most overused word in sports these days."
There were some more mixed reactions from the fans:
A Duke fan also joined to comment, "Okay hear me out, I’m a Duke fan 100% but the generational word is thrown out WAY too much for to mean anything anymore."
This fan thought that the people in the comment section were overreacting, "idk why yall trippin. they're extremely good players. cam was no. 2 prospect, i doubt if yall be mad if they used the word generational for dybantsa! can't wait to see them play for duke 🙌."
This fan thought that Miami missed out on landing the Boozer twins, "@univmiami missed on this one….."
Jon Scheyer talks about Cayden and Cameron Boozer
The Boozer twins became the first two signings for Duke on October 10. Cameron Boozer will join the Blue Devils after a stellar three-season career with the Columbus Explorers, where he averaged 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.1 blocks in 90 games. His brother, Cayden Boozer, played in 87 games and recorded averages of 14.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 0.3 blocks.
Coach Jon Scheyer talked about Duke's latest signings as he commended the Boozer twins, Nikolas Khamenia and Shelton Henderson in a video posted by Duke Men's Basketball's Instagram page.
"And when you think about Shelton Henderson, when you think about Cayden Boozer, when you think about Nick Romania, when you think about Cameron Boozer, the word competitiveness comes to mind with all four of those guys, and that was really important to us, and how we continue to build the program, how we continue to move this thing forward, high level competitiveness," Scheyer said.
With a strong roster, how far will the Blue Devils go next season?
