Mark Pope's Kentucky joins Alijah Arenas' list of offers. The Class of 2026 recruit now has 19 offers, according to On3. The news was confirmed by Recruit News in an Instagram post on Thursday. Arenas became the 11th player from the 2026 class to receive an offer from Pope's program, including two notable names in five-star recruits Jason Crowe Jr. and Miikka Muurinen.

Alijah Arenas played in the Adidas 3SSB Circuit at the 17U level. While representing Compton Magic, Arenas averaged 21.4 points while shooting 48% from the field, including 24.3% from beyond the arc.
Arenas has started his junior year at Chatsworth High School. He's presently averaging 25.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He has played 62 games over two seasons, averaging 31.8 points, 2.5 assists, 8.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.
In 27 games in 2022-23, he averaged 30.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. In the 2023-24 season, he averaged 33.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game in 35 games.
According to On3, the Class of 2026 shooting guard has 19 offers from top programs including Arizona, Alabama, UTEP, UCLA, Washington State and more. Arizona has the highest chance of signing Arenas with 48.6%, per On3 recruiting prediction.
UCLA is in second place with a 3.9% chance, Fresno State with 3.3%, Washington State, UTEP, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech with 2.8%.
Alijah Arenas' career timeline
According to 247Sports, Alijah Arenas received his first offers from the Kansas Jayhawks, New Mexico Lobos and Texas Longhorns. He received six more offers in the next 17 days from Nevada, Fresno State, UCLA, Xavier, Washington State and Ole Miss.
After that, he received four offers from Arizona State, California, Nebraska and Virginia Tech on May 30 and an offer from Arizona on Jun. 1 and from Alabama on Jul. 19, 2023.
