The No. 2-ranked shooting guard in the Class of 2026 Alijah Arenas has marked his name as one of the top prospects in high school basketball. The consensus five-star recruit is ranked at the fourth spot nationally and third in California.
Arenas took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for his girlfriend on Thanksgiving:
"Very Thankful pretty girl ❤️❤️❤️@__jaydennnn._," Arenas captioned his story.
His girlfriend, who goes by the username '_jaydennnn._' on Instagram, also shared a story that was later reposted by Arenas:
"so thankful @alijaharenas," she captioned the story.
Arenas usually posts his basketball highlights and collaborations with famous basketball pages such as 'Overtime,' 'TheHoopsPill,' 'Ballislife SportsCenter NEXT' and more. He has not posted much about his girlfriend.
The couple does not post pictures of each other on social media usually but this time, his girlfriend added a picture of Arenas with the caption, "my heart." This was later added to her highlights.
Furthermore, Arenas' girlfriend also shared a collage of pictures on Oct. 4. This included one of them celebrating together after Arenas won the 2021 Most Valuable Player award for Chatsworth Varsity Basketball:
The Class of 2026 prospect has 19 offers (according to On3). These offers are from top programs including Arizona, Alabama, UTEP, UCLA and Washington State among others.
Arenas has been displaying terrific performances for Chatsworth, currently averaging 25.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. In the last two years, he has played 62 games, averaging 31.8 points, 2.5 assists, 8.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.
In his sophomore season, Alijah Arenas had 33.0 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.3 spg in 35 games. In the last season, Arenas played 35 games, with 33.0 ppg, 2.9 apg, 1.3 spg and 0.9 bpg.

Arenas added to his list of offers after the latest one from the Kentucky Wildcats and coach Mark Pope.
In the Class of 2025, Kentucky has received commitments from five-star point guard Jasper Johnson, four-star center Malachi Moreno and point guard Acaden Lewis.
Arenas still has one more year to go before he makes a decision on his collegiate career.
