Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony, is making waves both on and off the court. Fresh off his college commitment, Kiyan indulged in fun-filled family moments on Thanksgiving. The Syracuse commit posted an Instagram story on Thursday, giving a glimpse of the rising star enjoying time with family and friends.

The 17-year-old attached a snap of himself and his friend Zakariya Surillo, the Graceland University athlete, posing in front of a mirror. The duo was all in style, with Kiyan sporting a sleek, fashion-forward look complete with a striking red zip-through hoodie.

But that's just the small highlight of what otherwise appeared to be a wild party. Mother La La and her friends joined Kiyan Anthony, and together, the group rocked through the night.

La La Anthony shared the highlights over a series of Instagram stories. Kiyan, fully showcasing his fun and party-loving side, indulged in a heartwarming karaoke session as well with La La posting the clip on Instagram on Thursday.

“Now @kiyananthony is free styling,” she wrote.

Later, La La herself joined in with the perfect imitation of Nas' song "It Ain't Hard to Tell" from his debut album, "Illmatic." She posted the video on Instagram as well, with a caption that encapsulated the party's vibes:

"Pre gaming with the fam the night before Thanksgiving went craaazzzyyyyy 😂😂😂🦃🦃❤️❤️❤️HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!"

With Kiyan Anthony committed to his father’s alma mater, Syracuse, the LuHi shooting guard will be heading for his senior year of high school.

Kiyan Anthony’s Mother La La Overjoyed Over Son’s College Commitment

The anticipation built around Kiyan Anthony's college commitment was unprecedented. So, when the announcement came on Nov. 15 on Carmelo Anthony’s "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast, it was a big moment for the four-star prospect.

It was also special for his parents, Carmelo and La La Anthony, who celebrated it with a grand commitment party. A video from the party was shared on the Syracuse Orange Sports YouTube Channel on Nov. 17.

Overjoyed over her son’s college decision, La La expressed her happiness during the commitment party with heartwarming words.

"Melo and I couldn't be more proud of our son," La La said. "This is such an amazing major moment for him, and I always say he's incredible in basketball, and I'm so proud of him.
“But what I'm most proud of is who he is as a person, who he is as a young man, how he treats people, who he's become. ... That's what Melo and I are the most proud of.”

Kiyan is the No. 1 player in the New York Class of 2025. He stood out with his impressive average of 20.0 points per game during the Nike EYBL circuit. However, given his father's legacy forged at Syracuse, he has quite a task ahead of proving his worth at the college level.
