No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2025 A.J. Dybantsa is one of the four Top 10 recruits who have not committed to a college yet. However, the famous basketball page SportsCenter NEXT took to Instagram to confirm that Dybantsa is down to his final four colleges on Thursday. The Utah Prep High School senior reshared the post on his Instagram story with a 4-word reaction:

A.J. Dybantsa trimmed his list of final seven colleges on Aug. 2 including Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, BYU Cougars, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats and North Carolina Tar Heels.
His final four include Alabama, BYU, Kansas and North Carolina. This season, Dybantsa has played 2 games and is averaging a double-double with 14.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
The 6-foot-9 small forward won the 2022-23 Gatorade Player of the Year. He plays for Utah Prep now, however, while playing for St. Sebastian, he averaged 19.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.9 apg, and 2.5 bpg. He also led Team USA to a gold medal in the FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship with 13.7 ppg, 3.8 apg, and 3.7 rpg per game.
Furthermore, in the FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey, Dybantsa averaged 14.1 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds with a 58.7% field goal to win the gold medal.
He discussed his career plans while talking to On3, stating that he wanted to be in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame:
“I want to be a Hall of Famer. (To do that, I’ve got to) just keep doing what I’m doing, but at a better rate every time. Every year I’ve got to improve from the last.”
While facing No. 2 recruit and Duke commit Cameron Boozer, A.J. Dybantsa scored 28 points in a tight 69-68 win over Columbus, Miami, that included five 3-pointers in the Border League on Oct. 20.

With Dybantsa down to four colleges, On3's recruitment prediction machine predicts that the BYU Cougars have the highest chance of landing the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2025, with a 69.2% prediction.
However, these predictions do not mean that the players will land in the college they are predicted to go to. Kansas State is in the second spot with a 13.2% probability of landing Dybantsa, followed by Alabama (7.0%) and North Carolina (2.2%).
