“The most committed commit I’ve ever seen”: Ohio fans react to 5-star QB officially signing for the Buckeyes

Tavien St. Clair, a five-star quarterback from Bellefontaine High School, announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes on June 21, 2023. He chose the Buckeyes over programs such as LSU, Toledo, Louisville, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Alabama and Penn State.

He officially put his pen to paper for Ohio State on Wednesday and shared the news on his Instagram account. He is set to become the Buckeyes' quarterback for the next few years.

"Buckeye Nation, I’m officially home! Signing day style on point with @hollister," the quarterback wrote in the caption.

CFB fans were quick to share their thoughts on Tavien St. Clair becoming a Buckeye. He received a lot of positive comments, especially from Ohio State fans, who are looking forward to watching him play at Ohio Stadium.

"Buckeye fans can’t wait for you mane! We believe in you," another fan wrote.

Ohio State had a fantastic recruiting cycle this year as Ryan Day and company managed to sign 26 athletes from the Class of 2025.

"Your going to do so well, we’re excited to cheer you on," one fan wrote.

Tavien St. Clair is ranked No.3 in the country and is the third-best quarterback in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Ohio.

The Ohio State Buckeyes' Class of 2025 is ranked No. 5 in the country, per 247Sports. Ryan Day & Co. had a fantastic recruiting cycle, signing 26 top athletes from the class, including the third-best quarterback in the country, Tavien St. Clair.

Clair is the Buckeyes' best signing and one of only two five-star athletes on their roster from the class. He is joined by North Shore's cornerback, Devin Sanchez as the program's only two five-star recruits.

The Bellefontaine quarterback was one of the best high school quarterbacks in the country and was on Day's radar since the beginning. He pledged his allegiance to the program early in his recruitment process and stuck with his home state school till the very end.

Along with the two five-star signees, the Buckeyes have also landed 14 four-star commitments, as per 247Sports.
