LSU Tigers' guard and American rapper Flau'jae Johnson have been putting up excellent displays on the court for Kim Mulkey. She is currently averaging 22.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.0 apg while shooting 54.7%. The LSU star has recently helped them continue their winning streak to 10 after she scored 22 points in the dominating 131-44 win against North Carolina on Sunday.
While she keeps things lively on the court for the Tigers, she talks about the recruits who have committed to Mulkey's side in a video uploaded on the "Best of Both Worlds" Instagram page. While talking to her road manager Ameen Brookes, Johnson talked about the recruits:
"I'm always into high school hoops. They (new recruits) have been cooking, I ain't gonna lie. I really like Gigi, I met her at Overtime Select. She's super fire. I think Kaleena, I seen her play at Overtime. Big O. Kind of locked in on our recruits that's coming to LSU, Grace (Knox), Divine (Bourrage), we got Z (ZaKiyah Johnson) coming, so yeah mean, we got a good little core," Flau'jae Johnson said.
"Don’t sleep on these high school hoopers 😳🔥," the post was captioned.
Who are the LSU Tigers' recruits Flau'jae Johnson talked about?
The LSU Tigers secured their first commitment for the class of 2025, with 5-foot-10 five-star combo guard Bella Hines from Eldorado High School, Albuquerque, NM. They sent her an offer in January and the guard made her official commitment to the Tigers on Apr. 2 after considering offers from Arizona, Baylor, Florida State, Iowa and more.
Their second commitment was another five-star prospect from Davenport North High School, IA - Divine Bourrage. The 6-foot-0 combo guard received an offer from the Tigers in March and committed on Sep. 12 after rejecting Arizona, Baylor, Illinois, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
ZaKiyah Johnson became Mulkey's third commitment after she received an offer in Aug. 2021 and committed on Nov. 3. The 6-foot-1 small forward from Sacred Heart Academy, Louisville, KY was considering offers from Kentucky and Louisville before making her commitment to Flau'jae Johnson's team.
Their fourth and final five-star commitment came from Grace Knox, who committed three days after ZaKiyah Johnson, on Nov. 6. The 6-foot-3 forward had offers from Southern Cal, Tennessee and Texas before choosing LSU.
