Top 2025 guard Madie Parrish announced her commitment to West Virginia in style with a flair of Halloween-themed twist to share the big news. On Thursday, the 5-foot-11 guard from William Mason High School posted a reel on Instagram where she revealed her decision to join coach Mark Kellogg's program.
It was a dramatic post embodying the spirit of Halloween coupled with a spooky caption that perfectly captured Parrish's excitement and future in West Virginia's program. The caption read:
"No tricks. All treats 🍬🎃 Scary hours coming to the coliseum.”
Apart from West Virginia, Madie Parrish has offers from Purdue, Kentucky, Penn State, Michigan and Wake Forest. But she decided to don the Mountaineers' jersey, citing the strong connection she felt with the coach and the team staff.
“Coach Mark — I view him as another version of my dad. Everyone felt like an extended family, and that really just felt good and trusting that I would be spending college with them too,” she told On3, explaining that Kellogg’s supportive, family-like approach stood out during her recruitment.
Parrish also emphasized the team’s welcoming atmosphere and the straightforwardness she encountered at West Virginia as primary motivators to signup for West Virginia.
“So I definitely felt that type of click with them, and it’s just been very honest, real, and straightforward. That’s what I was looking for during the process, so I could make sure I knew everything about the program,” she said.
Madie Parrish could be a valuable addition to Mark Kellogg's team
Madie Parrish is the first commit for the recruiting class of Kellogg's West Virginia. She is a No. 72 nationally ranked player in the 2025 class and No. 2 in Ohio.
As a junior, she was a Division I second-team All-State selection, managing an impressive 17 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and a 1.9 per game average. Last season, she was named to the first team of the Greater Miami Conference for the Comets.
According to Brandon Clay, the director of scouting for women's basketball, Parrish brings a perfect blend of athleticism and physicality. She's particularly known for her effective transitions and her ability to finish well in the lane, making her a strong offensive presence on the perimeter.
As far as the defense is concerned, her 5-foot-11 size will make her a challenge for her opponents, especially in the wings, where she can hold scorers from the opposite teams.

“Madison works very hard on her game. . “Her mental approach has gotten better every year. Going into her final year, she knows what needs to be done.”
