Ty Jackson, a four-star linebacker from Loxahatchee, Florida, flipped his commitment to the Florida Gators from Lincoln Riley's USC. He chose the Gators over programs such as Georgia, Alabama and Penn State.

Jackson announced his commitment to the Trojans on Sept. 8, but he kept his options open. He attended the Gators' game against the Ole Miss Rebels on Sunday and made his decision soon after.

Hayes Fawcett shared the news on Twitter and fans were quick to express their opinions about the Gators' latest commitment. It was a win for Florida but a huge loss for USC, which dropped to 14th from 10th in Rivals' rankings. A few fans also commented on the Trojans' recruiting struggles this season.

"Troy has fallen," one fan said.
"Does USC have any commits left?" another fan commented.
"USC is cooked," another fan wrote.

However, most Florida fans were excited to have Jackson on their roster for next season.

"Here we go! The gators are moving on up," one fan said.
"Good luck to you dawg," another fan wrote.
"By my count, we have moved up 30 spots in the rankings over the past 2 weeks. Let’s Go Gators!!!!" another fan commented.

Ty Jackson is ranked No. 135 in the country and is the 15th-best linebacker in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the 20th-best overall recruit from the state of Florida.

How good has Ty Jackson been in high school?

Seminole Ridge High School's four-star linebacker Ty Jackson has had a good high school career. He has accumulated 391 total tackles and 6.0 sacks in 32 games for the Hawks. Jackson also has four interceptions during that period.
