“He deserves better”- Fans criticize HYBE as BTS' Taehyung thanks accounts for promoting his ‘Winter Ahead’ MV release amid label’s alleged neglect

On Sunday, November 24, BTS' Taehyung released the first teaser for his new single Winter Ahead. The teaser was dropped via HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel. Kim Taehyung created his latest single in collaboration with another popular singer Park Hyo-shin.

Following the launch of the teaser, BTS' Taehyung was seen commenting "thank you" on social media pages for sharing the Winter Ahead teaser. The idol's fans soon realized that his agency, HYBE Label, had not shared any teaser or poster for Winter Ahead on their social media accounts.

Taehyung's supporters were upset by the alleged lack of promotional efforts. As a result, fans swarmed the internet, expressing their displeasure with HYBE. Echoing this sentiment, one X user stated:

“He deserves better”

Many other mixed responses from BTS' Taehyung’s supporters were recorded online. While many suggested that the BTS member must free himself from his agency, others demanded HYBE to share the teaser of Winter Ahead on their social media handles.

“I really really hope he frees himself from that useless company.....& Let's triple our efforts and show Taehyung that he is really loved and appreciated!,” stated a fan.

Many people said that HYBE didn't deserve Kim Taehyung, while others expressed outrage that the singer was supposedly being sabotaged in "all sorts of ways."

BTS' Taehyung’s Winter Ahead featuring Park Hyo-shin will drop on November 29

The official teaser for BTS artist V's Winter Ahead (ft. Park Hyo-shin) was unveiled on November 24. The track’s music video is slated for release on November 29, at 2 pm KST.

The Winter Ahead MV teaser was released on HYBE Labels' YouTube account and received over 2.22 million views and 588k likes within 24 hours. As a result, this music video teaser emerged as the most viewed and most liked trailer by a Korean solo artist in 2024. It happened to be the third most viewed promo by a K-pop artist in 2024.
