BLACKPINK's Rosé recently spoke to Dazed Korea for their Dazed Korea Spring Edition 2024 and shared her experience performing at Coachella for the first time. In 2019, BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop group to take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Back then, BLACKPINK was on the In Your Area world tour, and Rosé opened up about how it felt to hold concerts in different cities while performing at Coachella. Rosé shared that she made countless memories with her teammates, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa. She shared:

“At Coachella the time spent on the stage was as rewarding as the world tour, and I learned a lot from the stage performance. At that time, when I looked at the members, I would automatically laugh. It was a very happy moment.”

Rosé revealed that it was a dream for her to perform at Coachella; her first act in 2019 remains her happiest memory. She further continued:

“To a certain extent, this is what I've always dreamed of, and it's still like a dream. I've always imagined what it would be like to perform on the Coachella stage.”

The girl group performed some of their hit tracks including DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kill This Love, Kiss, and Make Up featuring Dua Lipa. Meanwhile, Jennie showcased her solo act with her single SOLO. Performing at one of the most esteemed festivals, the group garnered appreciation from attendees and fans for their electrifying performance.

Rosé shares her experience of going on two world tours with BLACKPINK during a Dazed Korea interview

BLACKPINK began their first worldwide concert tour In Your Area on November 10, 2018, starting in Seoul and concluding on February 22, 2020, in Fukuoka, Japan. The girl group showcased their vocal and performing skills to their fans worldwide covering shows in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Thailand, Australia, and many more.

Rosé received cultural experiences and expressed her excitement about performing in different cities. She said (as shared by X user @eleven_digits):

“Every city I visited was more beautiful than I imagined, and it was so beautiful that it was touching. At first, it was because I was there. I felt novel about the culture, character, food, etc. I encountered each city.”

BLACKPINK commenced their second world tour BORN PINK WORLD TOUR in September 2022 and concluded in September 2023. The group made unprecedented records by selling out stadiums. They broke Spice Girls' record as the highest-grossing tour by a female group.

Rosé also opened up about going on the second tour and experiencing similar moments again with a growing curiosity for each city’s culture. She revealed:

"I observed the life of people around the world more carefully, and my curiosity about the culture of each city will also increase. Also, I can truly feel the differences between the two world tours during this period."
