On Friday, August 16, protest trucks were allegedly parked outside BTS SUGA's house. The trucks demanded the departure of the K-pop idol from BTS following the recent DUI incident that landed on the internet. On August 7, the idol was revealed to have been charged for drunk-driving an electric scooter from his studio to his home, which was approximately 500 meters away.

However, when the idol reached his home, he fell off his scooter after losing his balance. The patrol police nearby approached the idol and took a breathalyzer test. Since the idol was drunk, he was charged with a fine and his license was revoked. Both BTS SUGA and BigHit Music released statements apologizing for the issue.

On one hand, fans believe that since the incident hurt no one, and the idol faced consequences, the issue is settled and doesn't need to be enlarged. People have been taking extreme steps to showcase their displease with the idol's actions. Some of these included sending protest trucks to HYBE's building, demanding the idol's departure from the agency and BTS.

The protest displays a series of messages that expressed the removal of the idol from BTS since the DUI incident supposedly disappointed some netizens. Here's what the message read:

"7-1, ARMY will fill the gap, so drunk driver SUGA OUT. SUGA is a drunk driver. A criminal should leave the group. Driving under the influence = illegal. Driving a scooter on the sidewalk = illegal. Illegal act + illegal act = SUGA. Just leave the group of your own will before you disgrace yourself any further."
