On July 29, 2024, the official X account for the globally renowned Japanese manga series One Piece (@OnePieceAnime) shared a meme referencing Stray Kids' latest track, Chk Chk Boom.

The meme featured the main character, Luffy, changing expressions in sync with the song's lyrics. Later, Bangchan, the leader of Stray Kids, took to the fan interaction app Bubble to write,

"Imma binge One Piece on the way~~~hehehehehe."

Shortly after, the One Piece account added a crying emoji to the original meme post.

This prompted a flurry of excitement among fans of both Stray Kids and the anime, who speculated about a possible new release or collaboration between the two or simply hoped for an exciting crossover between their favorite interests.

A user on X, @LiVi67661, shared their enthusiasm, speculating that the group might be featured in the official soundtrack for the series' upcoming season. They wrote,

In its debut week on the Billboard Global 200, the track achieved impressive numbers, amassing 27,000 digital sales and 59.2 million streams globally. It also reached the top of the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.

Furthermore, on July 20, 2024, just a day after its release, the album ATE made a significant impact with 12.58 million streams on the Global Spotify chart, marking the largest debut for a K-pop album in 2024. The lead single, Chk Chk Boom, entered Spotify's Top Songs Global chart at #25 with 3,103,367 streams, earning it the title of the group's biggest debut.

Since its debut, the song has garnered widespread acclaim. The video has amassed over 60 million views in just under two weeks and is currently trending at #2 on YouTube's global music video chart.
