“This is so iconic”- Internet react as fans draw parallels to BTS' Taehyung's 'Winter Ahead' and Michael Jackson's ‘Thriller’ MV sequence

On November 26, BTS' Taehyung released the second teaser of his soon-to-be-released song Winter Ahead, which is made in collaboration with another musician Park Hyo-shin.

The second teaser features a scene in which BTS' Taehyung appears elated while dancing with a group of elderly, while clad in a red jacket. Fans of Kim Taehyung quickly noted similarities between the red jacket scene and Michael Jackson's Thriller music video, as the latter donned similar clothing.

BTS’ Taehyung’s speculated homage to Michael Jackson impressed the idol’s fans. As a result, K-pop singer’s admirers flooded the internet with their praises for the idol's dance and alleged tribute to the late rockstar, MJ. Echoing this sentiment, one user on X stated:

Many other reactions, to BTS' Taehyung’s thoughtful elements in his upcoming music video, were seen on the internet. Some compared BTS' V’s teaser’s red jacket with that of Michael Jackson as seen in his video Thriller.

“I thought that too! I did post it on one of the reaction videos comments on YT. Plus Tae’s red jacket just like MJ’s.,” a fan said.

On November 26, BTS' Taehyung released the second teaser for his next music video, Winter Ahead, with Park Hyo-shin, inciting excitement among fans. The recent clip commenced with Kim Taehyung gazing out of a window, subsequently featuring the artist happily holding a brown teddy bear.

Subsequently, the idol was seen dancing in a red jacket to music amidst people of various ages clad in white attire. The teaser depicted Kim Taehyung relishing affectionate moments while spending quality time with his lover. The clip moreover featured the artist reveling and dancing with his companion. The clip ended with BTS' V blowing the candles on the cake.
