On August 7, BTS' SUGA was charged with DUI, otherwise known as drinking under the influence. The idol was reportedly riding an electric scooter while drunk from his studio to his apartment, which was approximately 500 meters apart.

Following the police report, the idol released a personal statement regarding the same through his Weverse account. However, the idol believed that the case was concluded following him paying a fine and his license being revoked, further investigations regarding the case are yet to take place.

Additionally, the idol also apologized for his actions and expressed regret for driving under the influence when he wasn't aware that it was illegal.
