50 Cent's The Final Lap Tour, which was held last year, has managed to break records in terms of ticket sales. Other artists who have added their names to this list include Drake and Kendrick Lamar, whose latest beef grabbed a lot of attention on social media in the last two months.
Touring Data, which keeps track of the ticket sales for different concerts, posted a tweet on March 29, 2024, which reads:
"The Final Lap, @50cent $84,486,303 Revenue ($1,188,539 avg.) 934,804 Tickets Sold (13,166 avg.) $90.27 Average Price 71/103 Reported Shows #Update."
HipHopDX states that based on the tweet shared by Touring Data, the event has possibly accumulated a revenue of more than $100 million.
50 Cent reacts to the sales report on social media
While Touring Data has confirmed on Twitter that 50 Cent's The Final Lap Tour has sold more tickets than expected, the rapper took to his Instagram page to express his delight about the same. He shared a post, which has been deleted now, and stated:
"Whistle while you work guys, that's my theme for today. I made all this money and I'm practicing abstinence, I don't want a little s*x worker."
As mentioned, the previous records were held by Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The former's tour, It's All a Blur, which was organized the same year, made profits of almost $129.7 million, per Touring Data. On the other hand, The Big Steppers Tour of Lamar grossed almost $110.9 million, as per Home Grown Radio.
Also known as Curtis James Jackson III, he announced The Final Lap Tour in May 2023, and it was intended to celebrate 20 years of his first album, Get Rich or Die Tryin'. The album had 16 songs in the soundtrack and despite being Curtis' debut project, it received positive feedback and grabbed the first spot on the US Billboard 200.
The tour started at West Valley City on July 21, 2023, and ended on March 3 this year. It covered various cities such as Maryland Heights, Nashville, Tampa, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
The rest of the singers who joined 50 Cent on his tour have previously expressed their satisfaction with being able to perform with the artist. This includes Busta Rhymes, who appeared at an event for his project Blockbusta, stated that he lost around 37 pounds after participating in the tour and said:
"I wasn't asking if y'all thought I was sexy or not, I just wanted you muthaf*ckas to understand I'm sexy, period."
50 Cent's new book is supposed to be released soon
50 Cent is currently preparing to release a book titled The Accomplice, arriving on September 3 this year. Amistad has taken the responsibility to publish the book and in an interview with People magazine earlier this month, he stated that the book would feature a "heist story."
Curtis revealed that The Accomplice will be followed by a long series of other books. The main premise would focus on FBI agent Nia Robinson and she intends to clear the name of her father, who was charged with embezzlement.
