Rapper Nicki Minaj criticized Fadam Got Da Juice after the radio jockey claimed in an Instagram comment that Minaj ignored one of his questions. His comment came after the host interviewed Minaj during an event celebrating her recent sneakers collaboration with DTLR on September 15, 2024.

Under one of his Instagram posts, Fadam Got Da Juice responded to Elliot Wilson's comment, claiming Nicki Minaj dodged his questions. Wilson had congratulated the host for landing an interview with Minaj. In response, he wrote:

"She ducked the smoke on the question man. I had to take the shot though."

Fadam Got Da Juice appeared to refer to his question to Minaj about Lil Wayne's 2025 Super Bowl controversy, which the rapper did not delve deeper into. The radio host has since then made his Instagram account private. The radio host had interviewed Nicki Minaj last week in Cleveland, Ohio, where she held an event to talk about her Loci sneakers collaboration with DTLR.

DTLR radio host Fandom Got Da Juice spoke to Nicki Minaj about unity among Black elites during her interview. The radio host first asked the rapper if she believed in unity in human beings. Minaj responded:

“Do we have unity amongst human beings? Like, if its eight billion people in the world, imagine thinking all eight billion people gon’ get along with each other. I used to be a waitress.”

She continued:

“It was a bunch of people not getting along in there. I mean, no matter where you go, you’re going to be at odds with people. I think the point, though, is when you get to a place where nothing around you affects what’s inside of you.”

Fandom Got Da Juice also asked Minaj about how things can be amended after the Lil Wayne debacle concerning the Super Bowl. However, Minaj did not elaborate much on the matter and focused on speaking about her sneakers collaboration instead. The radio host was presumably referring to the same gesture when talking about Minaj "dodging" his questions.

The host was referring to Lil Wayne not being chosen to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl half-time show despite being a New Orleans native, where the event will be held.

Instead of Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar was chosen to perform at halftime, leading to widespread criticism from hip-hop artists and fans. Jay-Z and his company, Roc Nation, have been at the helm of the backlash, with Nicki Minaj being one of the stars to speak up about the decision.

Taking to X on September 10, Nicki Minaj wrote:

“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50 Cent come out. A white man. Sh*t sad. House NI***R TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty? Welp. then ni**az will keep son’ing you!!!!!"

She also called out Gee Roberson and Jay-Z for their alleged role in not choosing Lil Wayne to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl. In another follow-up post, she wrote that people would regret their decision if "Wayne was to leave this earth right now" and legends should be honored while they are still around.
