"That man is suicidal" — Internet reacts to Nicki Minaj calling Ray J "ugly" on Instagram Live

In an Instagram live on November 26, rapper Nicki Minaj called American singer Ray J "ugly." The clips of the same went viral online. During the Instagram Live, Ray J talked about how he feels unattractive.

"You know I ain't been attractive in like years so I don't know how to be attractive. I just know how to be honest so I am telling you right now," he said.

In response, Minaj said:

"Listen Ray J, you are ugly but you don't have to say that. You gotta learn and be confident in yourself. Ugly people you know can do things too."

Ray J and Nicki Minaj then laughed about the same, presumably because the latter said it as a joke. Ray also mentioned Minaj "hurt him" while laughing about it.

Fans took to X to react to Nicki Minaj's joke, and many complimented her sense of humor.

"Ma that man is suicidal, you gotta chill," one X user wrote.

"I honestly don’t get how people don’t find her funny like," another user opined.

Rapper Nicki Minaj and Ray J discussed multiple topics during their Instagram live on November 26, 2024. At one point during their conversation, Ray complimented Minaj on her appearance, calling her "magnetic."

"But it’s just something that you do to your fans and the people around you. Like you just so magnetic and so you magnetizing me to the energy and I love it. Like I f*cking love this sh*t, Nicki. I love being on live with you, I ain’t even going to lie. I'm having a good time."

Ray J also called her "flawless" and added that Minaj naming him "Raahjaah" on their previous Instagram live “really turned him out." However, the singer claimed it was "nothing s*xual" and "nothing freaky" about what he implied.

Nicki Minaj appeared surprised by Ray's comments and asked why he was staring her down. In response, the singer said he had not flirted in a while and did not know how it felt to be attractive. Ray J then bit his lip and pouted on camera, claiming it was how he charmed girls earlier. In response, Minaj asked Ray not to repeat the gesture.

“Do not ever in your life do that again. Please," Minaj said.

Ray J continued complimenting Nicki Minaj despite her asking him not to, leading to the rapper hanging up the call on live.

“Honestly I’ma hang up. ‘Cuz we not gonna play like that," she said.
