Following his Paris Olympics campaign, Lyles, in a conversation, said that he is done racing for the season. However, he is preparing for next year's events and has some major projects in the pipeline, with the first details likely to be out in October.

"I’m done with the Olympics and I’m done racing for the season, but a few things have come up on my desk that makes me believe a very big competition will be happening sometime around March or April," Lyles told The Spun.

"A very unconventional project. We still don’t have all the details but so far it’s going very well. Maybe news about it will happen towards the beginning of October."

Lyles recently participated in his second Olympic Games in the French capital, where he secured the maiden gold medal of his career after edging out Jamaica's Kishane Thompson and compatriot Fred Kerley with a 9.79-second photo finish victory. The Florida native was just 0.005 seconds faster than Thomson, who crossed the finish line with the same official time as Lyles.

Notably, it turned out to be the only race in history with all the participants finishing in under 10 seconds under legal wind conditions. Furthermore, Lyles also competed in his marquee 200m event, where he was a favorite to win the gold. However, the 27-year-old had to settle for a third-place finish, earning him a bronze medal for the second consecutive time at the Olympics.

Noah Lyles is planning to participate in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, where he will be racing in front of his home crowd. Speaking about the same, he expressed his desire for LA to be his most memorable Olympic Games ever.

"Of course I’m thinking about LA. I come from a family of track & field athletes - not just athletes but Olympians. I thought becoming an Olympian was like getting a driver’s license - you study up for it then go out and get it," he said (via The Spun).
"Being around three-time Olympians, four-time Olympians, five time Olympians (my whole life) - it was just natural to be an Olympian growing up. So of course I want to go to LA. I want that to be my greatest Olympics ever."

Noah Lyles also said that athletes rarely get a chance to compete in the Olympics, and it is especially tricky to do so in the United States.
