Several athletes including Coco Gauff and Allyson Felix congratulated Gabby Thomas upon receiving the USATF Jackie Joyner Kersee Award on her 28th birthday. The Georgia native was honored with this award on Saturday during the USATF Night of Legends.Thomas won this award for her amazing season which helped the Georgia native finish first in the Women's 200m World Athletics rankings. She was impressive at the 33rd Summer Olympics where she topped the medal charts among US track athletes with three gold medals.These performances gave her an edge over Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Masai Russell, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Valarie Allman to win this annual award.
