After a busy 2024 season, Noah Lyles is taking a well-deserved break and making the most of his time away from the track. Recently, the American indulged his love of Legos and shared with fans his latest creation, leaving them stunned.
For Lyles, the year began early, starting with the indoor season competitions. He showed his prowess in the 60m sprint, claiming the national title in the event, before going on to win silver at the World Indoor Championships. From there, the 26-year-old moved on to his 100 and 200m races, showing spectacular form. After several impressive performances, he went on to dominate the U.S. Olympic Trials, winning both the 100 and 200m titles.
A few weeks later, Noah Lyles claimed the 100m gold at the Paris Olympics, before settling for bronze in the 200m. Now, before he begins his prep for the 2025 season, the American is making the most of his time off.
The sprinter recently indulged his love for Legos and shared a video of his latest creation, the Star Wars Star Destroyer, with fans, writing on X,
“Finally finished my Lego Star Wars Star Destroyer.”
Lyles has always been vocal about his love for Legos. In 2017, he revealed he'd been playing with them since he was a child, writing,
I am a Lego lover. I have been playing with them since I was 6 and still build them today
The American has also explained that he uses Legos as a form of stress relief, telling GQ magazine earlier this year,
“To get out of that (stress), I have to seclude myself from the world. I have to do what I love, which is like building Lego, making music, playing video games, you know, being with my friends. I need like four to five days of just that, and then the energy will naturally start coming back and then it's like, OK, I'm ready to give again.”
Noah Lyles heaps praise on Pharrell Williams’ Lego movie
Noah Lyles recently showed some love to singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams’ biopic Piece by Piece. The film is animated through Legos and received largely positive reviews from audiences.
Lyles was one of the members of that impressed audience, writing on X,
“Pharrell that was an amazing movie! That definitely spoke to me. Thank you for sharing it in especially in @LEGO_Group.”
In a previous interaction with Vogue, Noah Lyles revealed that Pharrell had gifted him a Louis Vuitton bag for his achievements at the Paris Olympics.
