He recently met with Florida Gators head coach Mike Holloway as part of his decision-making process for an NCAA career. He took to Instagram to share this update, saying:

“Thanks Coach Holloway @headgatortrk and @gatorstf for taking the time to visit my family and I. Thanks for educating me on the gator nation. #gogators🐊 #notcommitted #homevisit”

Quincy Wilson ran his personal best time of 44.20s in the 400m race at the 2024 American Track League: Holloway Pro Classic, to win it. There, he finished ahead of Bryce Deadmon (44.23s) and Matthew Boling (44.84s). This timing by Wilson was also a U18 world-best in the distance.

Notably, the event was named after the head coach of the University of Florida, Mike Holloway. It also took place at the University of Florida in Gainesville and was classified as a part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting.

Less than a month later following the U18 world-best performance, Quincy Wilson became the youngest male track and field Olympic gold medalist. He featured in the men's 4x400m relay race at the Paris Olympics that won the gold in the final, however he only competed in the heats.
