Seven-time Olympic champion Simone Biles once revealed that her husband Jonathan Owens is even more competitive than she is, emphasizing that he won't stop playing until he wins. The star athletic couple tied the knot in 2023 after three years of dating.
Biles met her now husband on the dating app Raya in 2020, and after they matched, it was the Olympic gymnast who took the first step to approach him. Their relationship blossomed during the COVID pandemic as they were away from their professional commitments. The pair got engaged in 2021, and the wedding bells followed in April 2023.
In an October interview with Olympics.com, the 27-year-old star shared insights into her relationship with Chicago Bears safety Owens, expressing how much fun it is for her to be married to a fellow athlete. She also highlighted the competitive nature of Owens, noting that he never gives up and keeps playing until he wins whenever they play a game.
"It is so much fun having two professional athletes and people think that we would like compete so much. He's competitive. I'm not competitive. If we're playing a video game or whatever or cards like, I think that's so much fun, and I don't care if I win or lose," Biles said. (via Olympics.com)
"Like he has to keep going until he wins because he's just like, that's his type of personality. But I think that's why he's so good on the field and why he's made it so far," she added.
When Simone Biles revealed her favorite honeymoon destination after skipping one after her wedding

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens did not get a chance to go on honeymoon due to their hectic schedules. However, when the Ohio native was asked about her ideal honeymoon destinations, she said:
"We would really love to go to Bora Bora and just relax there or go around, let's see, like St. Martin and all of that and do a boat and do all the islands or I feel like 2 to 3 weeks in Europe."
She added:
"I think we're teeter tottering those and what looks best in the schedule because then again next year is really busy, and then, he starts seasons. So it just depends. But I think that's like the top three."
Biles is currently occupied with the Gold Over America Tour after securing four medals at this year's Paris Olympics.
