Algerian wrestler Imane Khelif recently shared an Eid Mubarak message for her fans after missing out on the 2025 Eindhoven Box Cup, scheduled to take place between June 5-10. Her decision to skip the tournament came a week after the World Boxing Council decided to make sex testing compulsory for all athletes competing in boxing events.
As per reports, the 2024 Paris Olympics welterweight champion was late to sign up for the above-mentioned event in the Netherlands. The deadline to register for the event already passed on Thursday. Khelif had had earlier expressed her wish to make a comeback to the ring.
However, after missing the deadline, Khelif shared an Instagram story where she penned a message for everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha on Friday, June 6. She wrote:
"Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating today."

Khelif, a 2022 World Championships silver medalist, has been the center of attention several times in the past, including the 2023 Worlds, where she was also disqualified from the event and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
