Simone Biles, one of the most decorated gymnasts in the world, was recently spotted on a date night with husband Jonathan Owens. The Olympian wrapped up her 2024 season following a two-month Gold Over America Tour right after a successful campaign at the Paris Olympics.
The 27-year-old teamed up with Athleta to launch the second edition of the GOAT tour in September. This time around she was joined by her male counterparts from various countries in addition to female, unlike the first edition in 2021, which featured only female participants. After touring 30 cities across the United States beginning from Oceanside, California, on September 16, the event ended on November 3 in Detroit, Michigan.
In the later stages of the tour, Biles was also joined by her husband, Jonathan Owens, the NFL football safety for the Chicago Bears. The couple shared captivating pictures and videos from the tour with their fans. After concluding the tour, the couple recently went on a date, and Biles shared moments from the evening on her Instagram stories.
For their night out, Simone Biles opted for a stylish monochromatic look sporting a sheer black, off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve top paired with a short black skirt and a black leather jacket. In contrast, Owens also embraced an all-black outfit, wearing a black jacket over a shirt with matching black pants to give himself a formal appearance.
Alongside his outfit, Owens also flaunted his braided hair, a chain necklace, and a ring to complete the look. Sharing the pictures of two of them along with a snap of her meal, Biles captioned:
"d8 nite."
"Talk about him....I'm gonna come at you guys" - Simone Biles backs Jonathan Owens against his critics
Biles called out Jonathan Owes haters during episode three of her Netflix docuseries Simone Biles: Rising and emphasized that fans often fail to understand the mental strain that trolling puts on athletes. She made it clear that she was there to defend her husband against such negativity. Biles said:
"Social media gives them this false sense of reality that they really know who you are and how you function. Most of the time, they don't understand the mental toll it takes, especially going into the Olympic year. I know we signed up to be judged in the gym, but when you guys are gonna talk about my him or my family, yeah, I'm gonna come at you guys."
Simone Biles made history at the Paris Olympics by surpassing Shannon Miller to become the most decorated American Olympic gymnast in history. She claimed three gold medals and one silver at the event, bringing her overall Olympic medal count to 11.
