Lindsey Vonn offered a peek into her meal plan, comprising oats, turkey wrap, fruits, and others but was the most excited about the lasagna inside her fridge. After Vonn underwent a partial knee replacement surgery earlier in 2024, she often updates about her progression in the gym and life beyond skiing.

Lindsey Vonn, who extended her World Cup win tally to 82, drew a line to her storied alpine skiing career in 2019 in the wake of injuries. After her retirement, she kept herself busy with several sporting engagements, serving as chair of athlete experience for the Salt Lake City bid and a board member of Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) in Switzerland, among others.

Besides her sporting exploits, Vonn has been sporting a healthy lifestyle, making progress in the gym after her knee surgery in April 2024. On November 2, 2024, the 40-year-old took to her Instagram story to show the content of her meal plan inside the fridge but quickly shifted her attention to a delicacy, lasagna.

"When you're on meal plan. Got a lasagna though," she voiced.

"Someone asked what I'm eating...."

In 2023, the Olympic gold medalist sat for a conversation with Women's Health, detailing her day from breakfast to the nighttime rituals.

Her breakfast usually includes eggs and avocado if she plans to lift in the gym, banana, and almond butter before cardio, and fruits before skiing. After her workout, Vonn likes to indulge in sweets, comprising a protein shake with almond butter, fruits, and beet powder. Her lunch includes salad and any protein.

The former alpine skier cooks dinner by herself, air-frying a protein and pairing it with cheese and vegetables.

"I always put a little goat cheese on there and as many veggies as possible," Vonn said to Women's Health in 2023.

She added:

"I have to go outside and walk the glucose off with my dog."

Vonn also talked about journaling and taking insomnia medication before getting to bed.

Having suffered from several injuries, Vonn hasn't been able to execute a right-legged jump. On November 2, 2024, she successfully jumped with her right leg, expressing pride with a heartfelt note.

"What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger 💪🏻!! It may seem insignificant, but I haven’t been able to jump on my right leg like that for many, many years. Today I am SO much stronger than I was before! I literally had to take a moment and regroup… I got very emotional and I was so so happy. This is an incredible journey after surgery that I did not expect. Just another reminder to NEVER GIVE UP on yourself!!"

In 2023, Lindsey Vonn skied the Streif as the first woman skier but didn't do it competitively.
