TIME Magazine declares the 100 most influential people of the Year every April, honoring the game changers of this world who have made remarkable contributions in art, innovation, leadership, and other domains according to the magazine's official website.

The 2024 list of the 100 Most Influential People features celebrities such as Fantasia Barrino, Kylie Minogue, and Greg Abbott, among others. Tya Nadella and Patrick Mahomes have appeared on the list of most influential people for the third time, more than any other person this year. Taz Azaiza, aged 25, is the youngest person on this year's list while Joel Habener, aged 86, is the oldest.

Mahomes had always been in the spotlight, collecting various accolades throughout his career, including three Super Bowl victories and three Super Bowl MVP awards. In the past five years, the 28-year-old has led the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl championship. The most recent win came at Super Bowl 58, with a 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Two-time Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin was also featured as TIME's 100 Most Influential People of the World in 2023.

Mikaela Shiffrin and her fellow skier, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, recently announced their engagement.

On April 5, 2024, two-time Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin and Norwegian Alpine Skier Aleksander Aamodt Kilde announced their engagement through their social media handles, tagging each other. Shiffrin showed off her ring while Kilde smiled and held her hand in the picture they posted on Instagram.

In the Instagram caption, the couple, who have been together for around three years, just added emojis of an engagement ring, a couple standing together, and two happy emojis.

It spread rapidly through social media like wildfire, and many of Shiffrin's American teammates and well-wishers congratulated the newly engaged couple. Breezy Johnson joked about Aleksander potentially switching his skiing side to the USA after being engaged with Shiffrin, while the popular gymnast Olivia Dunne congratulated them through her social media handle.

Olympic champions such as Nastia Liukin, Allyson Felix, and Bode Miller also wished for a great future for the newly engaged couple. The couple shared the news after facing injury challenges for the last few months.

In January 2024, Shiffrin was injured with MCL knee damage for six weeks after a crash in Cortina, Italy. The crash happened one week after Kilde's emergency surgery after a serious crash with a serious concern for his skiing future.

According to sources, Kilde dislocated his shoulder, tore ligaments, and suffered a bad gash in his calf. Shiffrin made a comeback in the alpine ski season and won her first race, but Kilde was still in rehab.
