American sprinting phenom Noah Lyles recently expressed his wish to launch his own clothing line, focusing on casual wear rather than sportswear. He said this during a recent conversation on Access Hollywood following his double medal victory at the Paris Olympics.
Aiming for a four-peat at Paris, Lyles won the 100m gold in dramatic fashion as both he and Jamaica's Kishane Thompson finished the race in 9.79 seconds; it was later determined that he was five-thousandths of a second faster than Thompson.
Following that, he tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of his 200m finals, but the 27-year-old still managed to claim a bronze with a time of 19.70 seconds. Due to the COVID diagnosis, the Florida native could not continue competing, and the 200m finals turned out to be his last event at the French Summer Games.
Following his Paris Olympics campaign, Noah Lyles appeared for an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood on Thursday, August 22 on their YouTube channel. During the conversation, guest correspondent of the show, Emily Orozco, asked the sprinter if fans could expect the launch of his fashion line soon. To this, he replied:
"I truly wish to be able to put together my own fashion line, not actually sports focused but actually casual wear focused. Someday, for sure, we'll somehow get that. I've always believed that I'm one phone call away from the person I need to get in touch with. So one day I'm going to figure out that phone call and I'm going to make a call and we're going to get in done." [13:31 onwards]
