Eleven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles reacted to her fellow Gold Over America Tour cast member Casimir Schmidt, who expressed gratitude to the American gymnastics standout for inviting him on the tour. The tour ended on Sunday after making stops in 30 cities across the United States.
Besides Schmidt, Biles was joined by her Olympic gold-winning teammates Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera, as well as the male counterparts Paul Juda, Brody Malone, and Frederick Richard, who earned a team bronze at the Paris Olympics. The star-studded lineup also featured Joscelyn Roberson, Shane Wiskus, Yul Moldauer, Trinity Thomas, Canada's Ellie Black and Peng-Peng Lee, and France's Melanie de Jesus dos Santos, among others.
The tour launched on September 16 in Oceanside, California, and came to an end on Sunday, November 3 in Detroit, Michigan. It aimed to provide a unique experience to the fans and inspire the upcoming generation of gymnasts. After the tour wrapped up, Dutch prodigy Schmidt took to his Instagram and shared exclusive pictures with his tour castmates. Accompanying the images, he shared a heartfelt note for Biles and co., writing:
"The most amazing 2 months I’ve ever had. Memories that we’ve made on this trip will last a lifetime I can’t thank you enough Simone Biles for inviting me on the show and for making it all happen in general. Thank you to the whole crew for putting in the work every single day for us to be able to perform," he wrote.
"Thank you to the entire cast for making this whole journey incredible. Also thank you to all the people that showed up to watch the @goldoveramericatour. Without you all, it wouldn’t have been possible. Seeing a smile on people's faces everyday made my heart warm. THANK YOU," he added.
Biles responded to the post with white heart emojis.

Simone Biles reflected on the impact of the Gold Over America Tour

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Simone Biles expressed her excitement about the strong bond her castmates have developed over the months and acknowledged everyone's unique contribution to the tour.
"We’re having so much fun connecting, making memories that will last a lifetime, and cherishing what we did in Paris," she said. "And we’re so blessed to be selling out some of these arenas; I don’t think some of the cast realizes the impact they’ve made and will have on these kids in the crowd watching us."
Biles also treated her Gold Over America teammates to a celebratory dinner after the tour wrapped up.
