Stephen Nedoroscik recently reacted to an old meme of himself from the Paris Olympics. He highlighted the occasion of Thanksgiving by creating a Point of View on his own 'sleeping meme.'
Nedoroscik played a huge role in the 2024 Summer Games. He helped Team USA win their first Olympic medal in 16 years. He attained the highest score of 14.866 points in the team all-around event and helped his team win a bronze medal.
Just a few moments before this performance, the gymnast was seen meditating with his eyes closed. This image of him turned into a huge 'sleeping meme' and circulated widely all over the internet.
Following his Paris Olympics campaign, the American gymnast participated in the Dancing With the Stars show, which concluded recently on November 26. He attained a fourth-place finish in this competition alongside his dance partner, Rylee Arnold, and just days after this, he reacted to his old meme from the 2024 Summer Games by re-sharing it on his Instagram story.
After re-sharing this meme, he gave a Thanksgiving reference in the story by adding the caption:
"Me after eating a whole turkey."
Stephen Nedoroscik revealed his reaction to the moment he realized he had become an internet sensation
Stephen Nedoroscik recently sat down for a conversation with Shaw Johnson and Andrew East, where he opened up about realizing that he had gone viral after his stellar performance in the finals at the Paris Olympics.
He said that he wasn't aware of the fact that he was making rounds over the internet until at least three hours after the finals when his girlfriend Tess McCracken told him about it.
"After I got drug tested, I walked to the restaurant, only had 15 minutes to eat food and I sit down and my girlfriend Tess, she is like 'Steve, have you looked at your phone yet and I'm like no and she's like you have to open your phone right now, you were trending on Twitter (X) and I was like what the heck and I open my phone up and found out. I was like going crazy, what's happening in my life right now? So yeah that was a very surreal moment," said Stephen Nedoroscik.
Following his bronze medal win at the team all-around event, he also won a bronze medal in the pommel horse event and became the second American man in four decades to win a medal in the pommel horse event.
