Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was seen flaunting a new skill while cycling in the middle of the road during her off-season. The American athlete recently concluded her Paris Olympic campaign with victorious performances and won two gold medals.
The 25-year-old proved her mettle as an athlete during the 2024 Summer Games with her dominant win in the 400m hurdles event. She recorded a world record of 50.37s in the event, trouncing her on-field arch rivals, Anna Cockrell and Femke Bol, who clocked a time of 51.87s and 52.15s, securing second and third place, respectively.
Along with this, McLaughlin-Levrone clinched her second gold medal in the 4x400m relay at the Paris Olympics. She and her team, which included Gabby Thomas, Shamier Little, and Alexis Holmes, posted a commendable time of 3:15.27 to nab the win. They bested the Netherlands and Great Britain, who posted 3:19.50 and 3:19.72, to claim second and third place, respectively.
Days after these victories, the American hurdler was seen enjoying her off-season on a unicycle in the middle of a road. She shared a video on her Instagram story, showcasing her new skill on the ride, where she was seen balancing herself and struggling to take a turn. She added the caption:
"Still got it .... kinda😂"

Following this, she shared another video where she was smoothly riding the unicycle and said:
"I was saying, don't believe me. Literally in the middle of the street. It's a vibe."

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone opened up about making the world record at the Paris Olympics
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone reflected on her first gold medal and world record win at the Paris Olympics in the post-race interview with Olympics.com. She exuded excitement about nabbing the win and stated that it was a "surreal" moment for her and was an amazing opportunity. She expressed gratitude for her recent victories and said:
"It hasn't really fully hit me yet," said Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. "Blessed, honestly. And excited. It's a surreal moment. But now an amazing, amazing opportunity. And I'm grateful."
She also opened up about the mindset she had while running the race and stated:
"You never really know what's going on. It's really just running all the way through the line. I did get a quick glance at the clock, so I was like, 'Just get over this last hurdle and sprint through the line.' It's just like we've practised a million times."
She further added:
"I treat every meet like its own. So, this was my first time in Paris racing for this Olympic gold. I was just treating it like this was my first time here, and, trying to go for it the same way."
The gold medal win was a consecutive Olympic win in the 400m hurdles for Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, having won the title during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well.
