Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone had a hectic time at the Paris Olympics, running both the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. With the finals of the women's relay scheduled for the tail end of the Games, the American opened up on how she was able to relax only after the Olympics, taking a trip to Greece to celebrate her victory with her husband Andre Levrone.
McLaughlin-Levrone began her campaign at the Games on August 4, clocking a 53.60s in the 400m hurdles to top her heat. She then went on to run a 52.13s in the semifinals, finishing first and making it through to the finals with ease.
In the summit race, the hurdler was phenomenal. After a quick start, she made her race look effortless as she set a world record of 50.37s to clinch her second consecutive Olympic gold in the event.
Two days after defending her title in the 400m hurdles, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone went on to compete in the 4x400m relay finals on August 10, storming to gold yet again with her teammates.
Recently, in an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show, the 25-year-old revealed that she was focused solely on competing when she was at the Olympic Village, and celebrated her win only after the Games with a trip to Greece alongside her husband Andre Levrone.
“For us, we went all the way up until the last day so my fun was going to Greece with my husband afterwards as a reward, but during (the Games) we were locked in the whole time.”

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone turned 25 on August 7, a day before the women's 400m hurdles finals. While the sprinter didn't celebrate the occasion in Paris, she made sure to celebrate both her birthday as well as her Olympic golds on her trip to Greece.
Sharing snaps of her dressed in white alongside her husband on Instagram, McLaughlin-Levrone wrote,
“8 days late but who's counting.. 25.”
The hurdler also shared glimpses of the couple's trip to Greece later, showing off the many things she did on her well-deserved vacation, including horse riding and pottery classes with her husband.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone met her husband in 2020, and the couple married in May 2022. The duo often share snaps of their life with fans on social media.
